Our Projects - Private Firearms Collection Vault

This client had constructed a gun vault in his basement to store his antique firearms collection.  It's essentially a concrete box with a bank vault door.  The room was lined and built out with tongue and groove pine paneling and cabinets.  The room was finished using a penetrating aniline dye for stain and a hand rubbed shellac finish.

The entrance to the vault.

The unfinished room as it looked when we started.

The stain being applied.

The cabinets stained but not yet finished.

Here we see the entire room stained and awaiting finishing.

The end result.

Hey Rich! I picked up the rocker from the upholsterer today; you are truly a master!!! The wood is spectacular and the finished product is gorgeous.  Hard to believe what you were able to do with the mess that it was!  Thank you so very much.
